Ingredients:
1 lb beef tips, cubed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon flour (optional, for thickening)
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef tips and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is softened, about 3-4 minutes.
Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until they release their juices and become tender.
Return the beef to the skillet. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened slightly. If desired, mix the flour with a little water to make a slurry and add it to the sauce to thicken it further.
Stir in the butter and cook for 2 more minutes until the sauce is rich and smooth.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
