– 1 box fudge brownie mix (for a 9×13-inch pan)
– 1 box chocolate cake mix
– 4 large eggs
– 1 cup water
– 1/3 cup vegetable oil
– 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
– 1 cup heavy whipping cream
– 1/2 cup powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
2. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package instructions and pour it into the prepared pan.
3. In a separate bowl, prepare the chocolate cake mix with eggs, water, and oil as directed on the package. Gently pour the cake batter over the brownie layer.
4. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
5. While the cake cools, make the fudge topping. Heat heavy whipping cream in a small saucepan until steaming (do not boil). Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth and glossy.
6. In a separate bowl, whip powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and the chocolate mixture until fluffy. Spread the fudge topping evenly over the cooled cake.
7. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set before slicing and serving.
