Black Forest Cheesecake Delight

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
– 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 16 oz cream cheese, softened
– 1/2 cup granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup sour cream
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
– 1 cup cherry pie filling
– Whipped cream, for topping
– Chocolate shavings or curls, for garnish
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan or line the bottom with parchment paper.
2. In a medium bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
3. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar together until smooth and creamy.
4. Add the vanilla extract, sour cream, and eggs one at a time, mixing until just combined.
5. Divide the cheesecake batter in half. Stir the melted chocolate into one half until fully incorporated.
6. Pour the chocolate batter over the crust, spreading evenly. Gently spoon the plain cheesecake batter on top and smooth the surface.
7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the center is slightly set and jiggles just a bit.
8. Turn off the oven and crack the door open slightly. Let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour before transferring to the refrigerator to chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.
9. Before serving, spread the cherry pie filling over the top. Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings or curls.
