Heath Bar Poke Cake

ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix
3 large eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup water
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup caramel sauce
1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping
1/2 cup crushed Heath bars (or toffee bits)
1/4 cup chocolate syrup (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions, using the eggs, oil, and water. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the cake.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk and caramel sauce. Pour the mixture over the cake, making sure it seeps into the holes.
Allow the cake to cool completely, then spread whipped topping evenly over the top.
Sprinkle the crushed Heath bars (or toffee bits) on top of the whipped topping.
Drizzle with chocolate syrup (optional). Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
