Ingredients:
300 ml (1.05 cups) unsweetened yogurt
3 egg yolks
54 g / 1.9 oz (6 tablespoons) flour
3 egg whites
84 g / 2.96Oz (7 tablespoons) sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
vanilla
INSTRUCTIONS:
This yogurt cake is low in calories and fat, and you can do it with sugar without calories. It is easy to prepare and cook, you only need a bowl to make this delicious dessert.
In a mixing bowl, separate three egg whites from the bowl and keep the egg whites and yolks in separate bowls. In the bowl with the yolks, add 300 grams of unsweetened yogurt and squeeze a tablespoon of lemon juice, lemon juice is optional.
After adding them, using a hand whisk, stir until they are incorporated, then add 54 grams of flour. Continue to mix until a smooth dough without lumps. Bring the bowl with the egg whites and start beating the egg whites to make the meringue at high speed until it begins to foam. Add 84 grams of sugar in two additions, mixing well after each addition.
Beat until the meringue reaches a steep peak. Pour all the batter into the bowl with the meringue and stir in with a spatula, then add the vanilla essence for taste and fold again. Line a 15cm cake pan with parchment paper, you can also make it with an 18 cm dough at the same temperature and time.
Pour the hot water into a rectangular tray and place the cake pan with the dough in the hot water bath. Bake in the middle of the oven in a preheated oven 150C/302F for 60 minutes.
